Hay Sales

Along with our alpacas we also grow and sell premium orchard hay on 25 acres.  On an average year we produce approximately 120 tons and keep 20 of it for our own animals.  It's a blend of timothy and orchard with roughly 90% being orchard grass.  We sell 1st and 2nd cutting and, depending on weather, may have a 3rd.  Hay bales are 3-string and roughly 100 pounds each.

OPTIONS

• Pick Up:  We will load your trailer with a grapple but you'll be responsible for any final adjustments, hand loading and strapping down.  We do have a ladder on-site to help get on the trailer if necessary.
• Delivery:  In some circumstances we can provide delivery, if we are unable to we can typically provide the name of a hauler for deliveries in Oregon and Washington.  Please let us know if you'll need delivery.

ANALYTICAL

• We take samples from random bales at each cutting and send it to a lab for standard analysis.  Let us know if you need lab results and we can email them.

PRICING

• Pricing varies year to year and between cuttings.  Our costs have fluctuated widely over the last few years due to diesel prices, labor cost, fertilizer pricing and power cost to run our irrigation equipment.  We try our hardest to keep the price low but external costs are our of our control
